There are people who get their results no matter what the results are and accept that it has given them a lot of clarity for what they need to do to move forward. And there are people who actually start feeling like giving up. They start thinking they don’t have what it takes, or don’t have financial resources or the audience. My heart drops when I see this type of comments, because it has nothing to do with you not having these things, all it does is helps you identify where you need to put your focus. If you don’t have the audience or the content, then this is what you need to focus on now. This is a choice that we make as entrepreneurs. We can either let obstacles and challenges stop us, or we can decide to find a way to be resourceful and get around it, turning our brains on to find the answers we need. There is nothing more valuable than learning how to get creative to find answers to the problems and challenges that you are seeking solutions for. And there are two ways to do this. Make the Most of What You Have [4:16] Number one, you have to take inventory that is available to you and use it to your advantage. If you aren’t clear on what you have available to you, you can’t leverage those things. This is why we give the assessment in the first place – to help you get clear. The way the assessment works is, you answer a bunch of questions, and based on your responses to those questions you get a score. That score helps you get clarity in terms of where you should put your attention. In the second part of the assessment, we look at your community. That’s where a lot of people start thinking they don’t have the audience to do this. You may not have an audience yet but it doesn’t mean you’re stuck. There are tons of examples in the membership world of people who have launched membership sites with tiny audiences. There is a unique advantage of having a smaller audience – you can build a more intimate relationship, and as such, your conversion rates will be exponentially higher. You can do things with a smaller audience that you can’t with a bigger audience, and the other way around. So it doesn’t matter what size of audience you have, the key thing is to get clear on what you have so that you can leverage the strength of your particular situation. Always Ask Yourself “How?” [7:20] Number two, you have to start asking “how?”. That question opens your brain and turns it on to find the answers you need. Rather than focusing on what you don’t have, it will ignite your brain so that you start finding the solutions that you need to be able to move forward. For example, how can I grow my audience quickly? How can I create content if I’m not an expert? How can I find the financial resources to afford XYZ? Use Your Advantage [10:16] Don’t limit yourself. Use what you have available to you right now as your advantage. There are plenty of examples of people who didn’t have a big audience or financial resources to launch, yet somehow found a way to build a successful membership site. I believe in you because I know what’s possible.
