It’s this notion that the more success you experience, the less problems you’re going to incur. And I’m here to tell you that it’s not true. The more success you experience, the bigger problems you need to solve. Right now, you are dealing with and are challenged by certain things that are popping up based on where you are in your growth journey. But you can’t even see some of the issues that are going to arise when you get to the next level. And we can’t shy away from this. As entrepreneurs, we get paid to figure stuff out. We are problem solvers. Always Ask ‘How’ [2:57] So, how do you do that? You start asking different questions. The quality of your thinking, aka, the quality of your questions will determine the quality of your life. I love to start with the question how – how can I do this? How can this apply to me? How can I use this in my business? How can I do this easier? How can I do this faster? How can I do this with less resources or cheaper? Asking that ‘how’ question begins to turn your brain on in the most magnificent way. Because you’re starting to look for solutions, rather than camping out with a victim mindset, feeling helpless that you can’t do anything. So, if a campaign hasn’t worked, start asking how. How can you turn this around? How can you get more traffic? How can you improve conversions? If a relationship hasn’t worked out, how can you improve that relationship? How can you go deeper with those people? How could you attract more people who want to work with you? It’s time we take responsibility for our success. We’re going to ditch that victim mindset. Improving Searchie Through Feedback [5:09] Here is an example of how this shows up in our business every day. We were at LaunchCon, an awesome event hosted by Mr. Jeff Walker, where we had a booth for our new software platform, Searchie. And when you’re at the booth, you’re directly engaging with people and getting real feedback. And one of the things we came out of that event with was clarity around the fact that we had limits in terms of the amount of time that people could process with their plans in Searchie. So we asked a question, “How can we eliminate the limits?” The only way we could eliminate the limits is if we reduced our costs. That question sent us down a whole rabbit hole that opened up a massive discovery and also a massive relationship with a very big company that you’re very familiar with. So, you can now process as much content as you want every single month using Searchie for a monthly fee. Take The Lead On Finding A Solution [8:54] Here’s another example. Shanna, our community director, has started to receive a lot of requests from people who are saying, “Hey, how do I train my community manager?” We are in the business of helping people build profitable online memberships and communities, so one of the things we teach is that at some point you want to bring on help to manage those communities. Shanna thought that we should do some type of workshop about it. But there’s a lot going on in the company right now, and it’s not going to be a priority unless somebody takes the lead on it. And so, Shanna took the lead on it. She didn’t huff and puff and wait for somebody else to figure it out. She rolled up her sleeves, turned her brain on, and figured it out herself. Embrace The Challenge [11:32] I’m sharing this with you because at every stage of the business, you will continue to experience problems and challenges. And in many cases, they get bigger and bigger because more and more is at stake. But don’t shy away from them. Embrace them. As business owners, we have to figure it out. But we also want a team of people who are hungry to figure it out too. Because when you have a team of problem solvers, you move forward faster than ever before.
