One Email that Produced MILLIONS

Brief Overview

Is it possible for a single email to spark hundreds of thousands of responses that produces millions of dollars? After listening to an interview on a recent road trip to the airport to pickup a client, Stu believes it definitely is! He shares the story, the concept and the opportunities to implement this in your own businesses.

Big Ideas

[01:56] The interview Stu listened to was with Derek Sivers, the founder of CD Baby which he eventually sold for $22 million. Stu was inspired by Derek’s view that as business owners we are able to create our own world and style in our business. Derek saw the automated email sent to clients when they ordered a CD and decided to add some personality, spark and humor. The email is so unique that it has been shared by clients online to friends and families, all the while marketing CD Baby. In fact if you Google, “Private CD Baby Jet” the results are astounding.

[05:20] What was a “receipt” has turned into a powerful marketing tool. You too can take advantage of all the mundane touch points and experiences to make something special. Through injecting personality and humor into tiny details we could really work to thrill clients enough to tell their friends about it. The concept is simple enough to duplicate, most competitors won’t be thinking about these areas, and it costs nothing but a little conscious effort. These touch points could have massive impacts as a marketing force on your business. Google the email, it is well worth the read!
