There are 3 important questions I want you to think about… 

  1. What does somebody need to believe before they buy your product? 
  2. What does somebody need to do before they buy your product? 
  3. What does somebody need to have in place before they buy your product? 

Influencing Beliefs Through Stories [3:25]

First, I want you to start by focusing on beliefs. If there’s anything we want people thinking before we make an offer, it is that whatever transformation we’re going to provide is really possible. So how do you influence those beliefs? The number one way I influence it is through stories. Stories sell because people are able to see themselves in the stories that you share. So how do you gather great stories? You focus on helping people get great results. But the opposite is also true – if you obsess about people making progress and results, you’re going to have unbelievable stories. Stories are what you use to help influence the beliefs of the people that you’re trying to attract. Because if they believe that the transformation is possible, half the battle is already won. 

Helping Your Audience Gain The Right Skills [4:55]

Second, you need to give your audience the skills leading up to an offer. The offer should only amplify the momentum that they’ve got. And if they’ve got momentum, then there’s a very good chance that they’re going to see the benefit of what you have to offer immediately. 

For example, we help business owners add recurring revenue to their business through membership sites. But if the business owners aren’t clear on who they serve, then that’s going to create tension and friction during the buying process. But if they have the clarity of who they serve before I make an offer, then it’s very easy for them to be able to see how our TRIBE experience would benefit them. 

Make Sure The Assets Are In Place [6:18]

The last way to prepare your audience to buy, is to know what assets they need to have in place. If somebody already has an audience of three hundred people, they’re way more likely to see the benefit of joining us for the TRIBE experience. So if I can help them build that audience before I make an offer, then those people are going to be way better positioned to make use of the TRIBE experience, and the conversions are going to be way higher.
